*PLEASE NOTE* “CERTIFICATES OF FREE SALE” FOR FOOD SUPPLEMENTS, DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS AND VITAMINS ARE NO LONGER BEING ISSUED BY THE NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE The Nevada Department of Agriculture no longer issues Certificates of Free Sale for dietary supplements, food supplements, or vitamins. Certificates of Free Sale for this category of products are available from the Nevada State Health Division by calling 775-687-7548. Certificates of Free Sale for processed food or feed products manufactured in Nevada will continue to be issued by NDA. If you have questions about this notice call 775-353-3619 or 775-353-3672.
What is a Certificate of Free Sale?
	A “Certificate of Free Sale” is a certificate issued by the Nevada Department of Agriculture which states that a particular food product (s) for human or livestock consumption is freely marketed in the state of Nevada and the U.S. The certificate is not a guarantee of any kind. Applicants must sign a statement, included on the application, that their food or feed products are freely marketed in the U.S. NAC 587.345 authorizes the Department to issue and charge a $25.00 fee for each “Certificate of Free Sale”. Certificates will only be issued for products manufactured in the state of Nevada.

Click here to download the application (pdf) Or by calling (775) 353-3619 Fax completed application to: Nevada Department of Agriculture Fax (775) 353-3620 There is a minimum of 3 working days from the date of receipt to issuance of a certificate There is a $25.00 fee for each certificate. An additional fee will be charged for voided certificates. Certificates will only be issued for products processed in the state of Nevada. .
